Sunday’s trip to Spiralen

Yesterday my boyfriend and I went hiking all the way up to Spiralen, a very popular hiking destination in Drammen, Norway. I’ve been here once before, but without my boyfriend and not to mention on a much warmer day. This time we took another route than the one I took before, which I’m very happy about. Because the path people usually use to come up here is very steep, and very exhausting if your stamina is not the best. But if you’re up to challenging yourself, I guess the usual path is the route you should choose.

I think we used about an hour getting to Spiralen from our starting point at Årkvisla parking place in Lier, Norway. Approximately half an hour longer than we used on our way back. I guess you could say we were exploring the area along the path much more on the way to Spiralen, than we did on our way back again. It also started raining at some point on our way back, so perhaps we just hurried ourselves.

Anyway, it was a very nice trip, and one I really want to recommend if you every were to find yourself in Drammen, Norway.

the beginning of a new journey

Until now this blog has been on a very strange journey. I guess I haven’t really thought through what I actually want it to be about, what themes to focus on. Now on the other hand I’ve gotten a lot of time to sort my thoughts, and during all this down time, I’ve come to a better understanding of what direction I really want it to take. That’s also the reason I now wright in English and not in Norwegian, like i usually have done. Because I want to connect with a broader audience.

The themes I will focus on from now on is mainly photography, nature and environment. The reason being that I am very passionate about it. I think that focusing on themes that I’m very passionate about, will help me being more motivated and inspired. In the end I really just want to create a community where we all can come together and thrive.
